About Us
We are two classes of students in Mrs. Krebs’ classes. Krebs’ Class Blogs is a place for us to report what we are doing in science, history, English and literature. We’ve published writings, group projects, classroom assignments, and connecting! We continue to grow and expand our world of blogging as we create, contribute, connect, communicate, collaborate and curate with others around the world.
We hope you will enjoy our work, and maybe you will consider joining us in learning. We are in grades 7 and 8 in the American system, ages 12-14 years old. You will find links to each of our student blogs in the sidebar.
We are from a small school on the prairie in the Midwest of the United States. We are near the loess hills, a unique geographic feature found only along the Missouri River in Iowa and in China.
What is your place like?

This is a wonderful blog, and you are all interesting writers. Your teacher was kind enough to leave a comment on my first graders’ blog, and so I came to visit your web site. We live in Maine, but lived in Davenport for several years, and have been to Loess Hills. Iowa is big and beautiful and we loved it. We miss the beautiful springs in Iowa and the corn fields. Happy blogging!

Dear Mrs Krebs and class,
Thanks for stopping by our blog! We are a third grade class at an international school in Thailand. That means we are from a lot of different countries. We are new to blogging, having just started in October. It will be great for us to look at what you have done for inspiration. Please stop by our blogs sometime and see what we have been up to. We LOVE to get comments with suggestions and encouragement.
Sincerely,
Ms. Chesebro’s third grade

Hi Mrs Krebs,
Thank you for leaving a comment on my blog. Here is a little bit about where I live.
I live in a beach town 1 hour out of wellington city. The beach is sheltered by kapiti Island so the waves don’t get very rough. There seems to be quite alot of artists in the area as well. The weather is quite warm usually, sometimes in summer the temperature is more than 30 degrees celsius!
What is student appreciation day about? What happens on the day??

Thanks Mrs. Krebs,
We study Maori at school, but only a little so I do not speck it fluently. We have a Kapa Haka Group where we sing songs in Maori with actions. At the end of the year we have Hui where the schools in Kapiti can come and perform. Our school group performed at our St Patrick’s Day Twilight Gala and I want to do a post about this. So look out for it.

G’day Mrs Kreb’s classes,
Love the blog. I have picked up a lot of great ideas already that I will try with my class. I teach a Year 5/6 class for gifted kids called an Opportunity Class. Our school is in Newcastle, Australia.
I love all the great work you have been doing with genetics. Biology used to be my favourite subject in high school and then I went on to do a few Biology subjects at university so reading your work on genotypes and phenotypes brought back some great memories from those years.
Keep it up. It looks like you have an amazing teacher. You are very lucky.
Regards
Mr H
