Darkness Go To Looper

Chapter 1

At the past

In the past, everything was awesome and fun. Until they came, they destroyed everything in their path, they took our planet from us, and sent us to a planet that no one knew about. It was in the galaxy.

They want everything fighting and dark. They destroyed whoever they saw having fun. They destroyed whatever they saw that was nice. They broke it into pieces. They don’t stop until they get what they want. That is what makes them happy because they are evil and mean to people.

Congratulations, Winner!

What an exciting week! My eighth grade students (and one seventh grader) took on the NaNoWriMo challenge. As of today, a few hours before midnight, 100% of them have become winners as they finished writing their first novels! What fun!

Thanks to the NaNoWriMo staff, especially those working on the Young Writers Program. You guys rock!

NaNoWriMo Approaches

National Novel Writing Month is coming. In its lucky 13th year, hundreds of thousands of people all over the world take the month of November to write novels. Students in grades K through college are participating too, many of them through the Young Writers Program of NaNoWriMo.

This year fifteen 8th graders and I will take pen in hand (or laptops in our case) and write a novel. We are in the process of getting our NaNoWriMo accounts created, editing novel information, and author information. Our goals range from 5,000 to 20,000 words.

We would love to make connections with others who are participating in NaNoWriMo. Are you joining?

Here is a video of last year’s 8th graders…
